Your cargo could be damaged in transit if other LCL shipments are not properly packaged. Other factors such as bad weather at sea could also cause cargo damage. Layovers and intermodal transport also increase the risk of cargo damage, as it has to pass through the hands of more people. That being said, be sure to properly pack your cargo to prevent damage as much as possible.
